The Incredibles Disney - Pixar Lessons about Design, Life and Fun Facts

We continue analyzing the movie of The Incredibles that centers in a superhero family has to live undercover to fit into society. The regular life isn’t easy for this superheroes mostly for Bob (Mr. Incredible) he gets frustrated about not be able to use his powers and live the regular life, and have a shitty job. Something change when a villain (Syndrome) call Mr. Incredible, for a mission and his life change for good and bad, and have to defend the city Metroville together as a family.

This movie has a lot of things to teach us:

Life Lessons

• Bauhaus furniture: Bauhaus is celebrating his first centenary this school is very important for design history, we can appreciate some key furniture pieces of the of Mid Century Style (De stijil)

• Googie unique futuristic design, frequently spot in coffee shops and restaurants of the era we can see it here Nomanisan Island with combination of Tiki architecture.

• We can see a lot of this eclectic combination of style like in Edna Mansion modernism with greek ornaments.

• Art Deco: Metroville city have some influenced buildings in that style, also the colorscripts illustrations are design with that patron.

• Anthoprometric design: We can spot that Bob's office it has no design and the space is modular not thinking of human beings.

• Industrial Design: You should buy objects that you can fit example Bob's car didn’t have enough space for him.
